Demys is pleased to announce that Tim BrownDirector of Brand Protection – has been appointed to Nominet’s .uk policy stakeholder committee.

The committee was created by Nominet to support and enable the policy process in the .uk domain name space. Members of the committee bring a wide range of experience from the domain name industry in the United Kingdom and help engage stakeholders in the policy development process.

Tim commented

“I am delighted to be appointed to the committee and intend to represent UK businesses’ views in terms of Internet policy and its ongoing development. While perhaps not the most glamorous of Internet issues, policy development is vitally important to the operation of the United Kingdom’s Internet infrastructure.”

The .uk policy stakeholder committee covers important issues such developing the Registrar Agreement, Nominet’s Acceptable Use Policy and related Privacy policies.
