Demys launch new gTLD database

We are pleased to announce the launch of a searchable database of all newly applied for generic top level domains.

As clients are aware, 2013 and 2014 will see the launch of up to 1,500 new generic top level domains or “gTLDs” to run in tandem with and complement the existing generic spaces, like .com. The new TLDs present both opportunities and threats for online rights protection and our database will assist clients easily and intuitively navigate this uncharted landscape.

Each application has been categorised into a number of useful groups, including industry sector, geographic range and language. Through our online dashboard, the database can be filtered and searched by category or browsed freely allowing clients to drill down into a wealth of information relating to each application and how each will be deployed following launch.

Demys is currently working with clients to inform online brand protection strategies in this new environment and to ensure full coverage in the Trademark Clearinghouse, for which Demys is an accredited agent.

Our online dashboard is available exclusively to Demys’ clients; if you haven’t already received details of how to use it please contact your usual account manager or speak to Tim Brown – Director of Equity Services – on +44 131 2260660 or via email at
